Marlon Roudette, the talented west London artist and former frontman of the number one duo Mattafix, is back with his new single ‘Ultra Love’ (out now on Island Records). Featuring Marlon’s inimitable music style – euphoric sonics, with a nod to his upbringing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and his Trinidadian heritage – and sharp song-writing skills, ‘Ultra Love’ is the ultimate late summer feel-good track that will be spreading the holiday party vibes into the next few months and beyond.
With a stunning, new visual directed by Carly Cussen (Laura Mvula, Wretch 32, Krept & Konan), a brand new Mark Cyrus Soca Remix ft Dynamite alongside further remixes from the likes of Andrelli, Tough Love and Stadic and a string of show-stopping performances across some of Europe’s biggest TV shows, ‘Ultra Love’ is already off to a flying start.
Speaking on ‘Ultra Love’, Marlon Roudette said: “In an age of constant distraction, art still has the ability to stop us in our tracks and put us in the moment. ‘Ultra Love’ is about experiencing this through music.”
Formerly one half of the music duo Mattafix, known for their 2005 hit single ‘Big City Life’, Marlon has long since proved his credentials as a successful solo artist with singles like ‘New Age’, taken from his debut album ‘Matter Fixed’ which reached number one in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2014, Marlon released his second album ‘Electric Soul’ which spawned the huge hit single ‘When the Beat Drops Out’, a Top 10 UK single which has sold more than 460,000 copies in the UK alone, earned him a number one in Germany and been streamed over 85 million times on Spotify.
Currently putting in the hours in the studio working on new material and writing with the likes of Amy Wadge, Mabel McVey, Louisa Johnson and Sinead Harnett, Marlon is ready to once again make his mark on the music scene with his addictive, one of a kind melodies and poignant lyrical content.
