Rising rapper Quake Matthews has released the first single “Confessions” featuring Neon Dreams from his forthcoming album Celebrate The Struggle, which artfully blends the wide array of rap styles and sounds he’s increasingly becoming known for. Name checked as one of Canada’s top up-and-coming rappers, on “Confessions”, Quake’s raspy voice and raw emotion takes you inside his mind as he copes with his inner demons. The catchy single is aided by chart topping collaborators Neon Dreams whose last single “Marching Bands” received five (5) million streams on Spotify. This lead single from his much anticipated album was also co-written by Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Gordie Sampson. Quake’s forthcoming album Celebrate The Struggle features him teaming up with a handful of heavyweight producers including two-time Grammy Award-winning producer Street Runner (Eminem, Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross), 2oolman of A Tribe Called Red and multiple Juno Award-winning rapper Classified.
Following on the heels of a European Tour that took him to Sweden, The Netherlands, and the UK (where he spent time last summer recording at the late Amy Winehouse’s studio), Quake is currently getting set to embark on a national tour in support of Celebrate The Struggle and will be performing at Atlanta’s A3C Festival this fall.
